Bernulf and this Blog
Bernulf Oswin lives near the Weser river with his wife and two cats. Among a number of other things, he enjoys reading, bicycle treks, and watching the tidal ebb and flow of the North Sea. Bernulf is a Heathen, dedicated to the Æsir and Vanir, with a particularly strong relationship to Njord.
Along with this blog, Bernulf also maintains the Heathen Blogs Directory Project.
A Heathen Blog – Expanding Inward is an attempt to reflect on the religious and spiritual world from a Heathen’s perspective. This blog tries to focus on two things: worldwide happenings of a religious or spiritual nature; and information specific to Heathenry. It’s first incarnation began in March of 2006 – with a bit of luck, and the continued patience of readers like yourself, it will continue to grow well into the future.
The second half of this blog’s title, Expanding Inward, comes from Bernulf’s paradoxical theory about the status and evolution of the universe. It’s based on the expanding balloon explanation of the universe, where dots are drawn on a deflated balloon to represent galaxies, and the inflation of the balloon corresponds (as a two-dimensional representation of actual space-time) to what’s happening to the universe. Bernulf, who is fascinated by this area of physics, likes to draw his dots on the inside of the balloon.
It should be noted, Bernulf is not a Physicist.
